Public Health Week
Public Health Week recognizes the prevention and protection services which often appear invisible but are essential to individual and community health. Public health professionals at the national, state and local level work together to create conditions that are conductive to health and educating people about healthy lifestyles. Public health is at the forefront in dealing with such health concerns as clean water and safe food supplies, heart disease and stroke, infectious disease, smoking, motor vehicle and workplace injuries and lead poisoning.
